Hike along the Svekupīte and Lenčupe Rivers

In search of untouched nature: The canyons of Svekupīte and Lenčupe.

A beautiful and experience-rich hike along the banks of the Svekupīte and Lenčupe rivers, taking various routes. The path reveals wild and vibrant nature, with deep valleys and scenic river bends, concealing numerous ancient sites and archaeological treasures around the Raiskums area.

What makes this route magical is that the chosen trails are still in their primeval state—untouched by humans. The landscapes are raw and unpolished, offering a new scenic surprise around every bend, drawing you further and deeper, until you finally reach a wide and breathtaking horizon by the shores of Lake Raiskums—at sunset.

These trails hide many ancient sites and historical markers of centuries past, nestled in the forested heartlands of Livonia. In places, the route leads directly across rivers via bridges crafted by nature itself.

Distance: approx. 14 km
Midway break: Rest stop with special, energizing snacks made from local Raiskums products. Tired hikers can lounge in hammocks and rest their feet.
