"Historically active in Raiskums" is the Social Tourism Cooperative.
What do we mean by this?
The term “social tourism” itself has been coined to underline the basic principle of our activity – to use the common resource of the community to create the best together and to make the phenomenon of tourism not a business monopoly, but a place and role for every active resident, home-maker, skilled craftsman to play in welcoming visitors to our region.
The hikes we offer are detailed events based on active movement combined with environmental and historical educational elements, the work of our trained guides and the care of our guests. Participants don’t even have to worry about drinking water, but a picnic lunch break gives guests a chance to relax and enjoy the natural environment while hot snacks are prepared on the fire, tea is brewed and a feast is laid out from our own – freshly cooked/grown products from Raiskums households. We provide everything from mugs of tea to the freshest cheese and bread baked in the morning.
Of course, we could do without all that and stick to homemade sandwiches. But our main goal is not just to clean up the open spaces of Raiskums’ fabulous forest, but to support our own Raiskums farms with our common resource – our natural and cultural heritage.
